Derek Bernard is a veteran vocalist and songwriter deeply embedded in the San Francisco music scene. Performing for over 15 years as Haberdasher, he has played staple venues including Cafe du Nord, Bottom of the Hill, and the legendary Red Devil Lounge.

True to the name "Haberdasher," Derek wears many hats. His dynamic stage presence is informed by a background in long-form musical improvisation with troupes like Le Musique du Noir, where he wove narrative and melody in real-time. Blending the eclectic musicality of Dave Matthews with the theatrical grit of Tom Waits to explore the mystery of everyday life.
